SKIN BOOSTERS
The Foundation of Dermal Quality

What Is It?
Skin Boosters are advanced injectable treatments designed to fundamentally improve the hydration, elasticity, and luminosity of the skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that add volume or structure, Skin Boosters contain a low-viscosity, non-cross-linked (or lightly cross-linked) Hyaluronic Acid (HA) that is expertly dispersed across the skin’s surface.
This is a treatment focused purely on deep dermal conditioning, working to replenish the skin’s internal moisture reserves and promote long-term skin health for a visible, lasting radiance.
The Science of Deep Hydration and Repair
Skin Boosters function by delivering restorative ingredients directly into the skin’s middle layer (the dermis), where topical products cannot effectively reach.
Mechanism of Action (The How & Why)
Skin Boosters utilize two primary mechanisms to rejuvenate the skin:

1. Reservoir of Hydration: The primary ingredient, non-cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid, is a powerful humectant. Once injected, it acts as a reservoir of water, drawing in and holding moisture within the dermis.
• Why: This continuous, deep hydration smooths fine lines, improves skin texture, and gives the skin a healthy, "lit-from-within" glow.

2. Bio-Stimulation: The presence of the injectable HA, especially when combined with vitamins, peptides, and antioxidants (depending on the product brand), stimulates the skin's own natural production of collagen and elastin.

This gentle stimulation gradually enhances the skin's elasticity and firmness, improving overall texture and resilience over the course of the treatment.
Targeted Treatment Areas
Skin Boosters are ideal for areas showing signs of dehydration, crepiness, and textural damage:
• Face: For global skin rejuvenation, improving texture, and reducing superficial fine lines.

• Under-Eyes: To hydrate and thicken the fragile under-eye skin, reducing crepiness and fine lines.

• Neck & Décolletage (Chest): To smooth horizontal "necklace lines" and reduce sun-induced crepiness.

• Hands: To restore lost hydration and improve the thin, lax appearance of aging hands.
Skin Boosters vs. Polynucleotides: Choosing Your Regenerative Path
While both treatments are focused on improving skin quality and structure, they work through distinct mechanisms:

Primary Ingredient: Skin Boosters use non-cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Polynucleotides use purified DNA fragments (highly filtered).

Main Mechanism: Skin Boosters focus on Hydration & Volume, creating a direct water reservoir and providing mild collagen stimulation. Polynucleotides focus on Cellular Repair & Growth, triggering deep cellular signalling to aggressively produce new collagen and repair tissue damage.

Best For: Skin Boosters are best for fine lines, dehydration, luminosity, and textural improvement. Polynucleotides are best for thin, fragile skin, severe crepiness, significant loss of elasticity, and scarring.
In short, Skin Boosters are excellent for hydration and glow, while Polynucleotides are superior for deep cellular repair and structural thickening.
ESSENTIAL TREATMENT INFORMATION
TREATMENT COURSE AND LONGEVITY
Skin Boosters require a short course of treatment to establish the dermal hydration reserve and initiate collagen production.

Sessions Required: Typically requires 2 to 3 initial sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. This course is essential to "stack" the HA and achieve optimal saturation and long-term results.

Results Timeline: Clients often notice improved hydration and radiance within the first week. The full effect of textural improvement and collagen stimulation is visible 4 to 6 weeks after the final session.
Longevity: Following the full initial course, results usually last between 6 to 9 months. Maintenance sessions are recommended twice a year to sustain the optimal level of skin hydration and radiance.
PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE (7 DAYS PRIOR)
-
Avoid Blood Thinners: Stop taking non-essential blood-thinning medications and supplements (e.g., Aspirin, Ibuprofen, fish oils, Vitamin E), only after consulting your prescribing physician, to minimise bruising.
-
Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 48 hours before the procedure.
AFTERCARE (24-48 HOURS POST-TREATMENT)
-
Expect Bumps: Small, raised bumps or wheals may appear at the injection points. This is normal and expected, signifying the product has been placed correctly, and usually dissipate within 4 to 24 hours as the product spreads and integrates.
-
Avoid Touching/Pressure: Do not vigorously touch or massage the treated area for at least 6 hours.
-
Avoid Extreme Heat: Refrain from heavy exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 24-48 hours.
Possible Side Effects
Common (Lasting a few hours to 1 day):
Temporary redness, slight swelling, and the visible 'blebs' (bumps) at the injection sites. Pinpoint bruising is possible.

Safety:
Skin Boosters are generally very safe and well-tolerated. They carry a low risk of lumps due to their non-cross-linked composition. As with any injection, there is a small risk of infection.
