LIP ENHANCEMENT
The Art of Bespoke Definition

The Ultimate Bespoke Lip Experience
Your lips are a key element of your facial harmony. At our clinic, lip filler treatment is elevated to a form of bespoke artistry. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; we believe in sculpting an enhancement that is perfectly calibrated to your natural anatomy, facial structure, and aesthetic desires.
We utilise premium, market-leading hyaluronic acid products known for their safety, efficacy, and ability to deliver a luxuriously soft and natural feel.
Your Personalised Approach
During your dedicated consultation, we will conduct a thorough assessment of your lip anatomy, discuss your ideal outcome (from subtle hydration to defined volume), and jointly decide on the optimal technique (e.g., Russian Lip technique, tenting, micro-droplet) to achieve your vision. This ensures a truly collaborative and tailored result.
Longevity: Your Investment in Radiance
Lip filler results typically last between 6 to 12 months.
Factors Affecting Longevity
The duration of your results is influenced by several factors. Understanding these will help you protect your investment:
• Individual Metabolism: Clients with a faster metabolism may find the filler is naturally broken down by the body more quickly than others.
• The Area of Treatment: The lips are a highly mobile area (from speaking, smiling, and eating), which can cause the filler to dissolve faster than in static areas of the face.
• Product Type & Technique: We select high-quality products and specific techniques designed to offer the best possible retention based on your needs.
• Lifestyle: Habits such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, frequent strenuous exercise, and poor hydration can accelerate the filler's breakdown.
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
To ensure the safest, most comfortable experience and the best possible result, please adhere to the following preparatory guidelines:
Avoid blood thinners as these can increase brusing however if they are part of a regular medication routine please continue.
Avoid alcohol for 24/48 hours pre treatment as these can increase risk of bruising.
If you are on antibiotics please wait until you are off them.
You can take arnica tablets 7 days before if you really want to minimise the risk of bruising.
Safety, Side Effects & Risks
Your safety is our utmost priority. While hyaluronic acid fillers are highly regulated and considered very safe when administered by an expert practitioner, it is important to understand what to expect.
Expected Side Effects (Common & Temporary)
These effects are normal and typically subside within 24 hours to 2 weeks:
• Swelling: Most significant for the first 24-72 hours.
• Redness & Tenderness: Localised at the injection sites.
• Bruising: Varies per individual; mild bruising is common.
• Lumps/Bumps: Small areas of firmness are normal in the first few days as the filler settles. These usually soften naturally.
Potential Risks (Rare but Serious)
While extremely rare, we are fully trained to recognise and manage potential complications immediately. These will be discussed in detail during your consultation:
• Allergic Reaction: A rare hypersensitivity to the filler material.
• Vascular Occlusion: Occurs when filler accidentally blocks a blood vessel, restricting blood flow. Symptoms include severe pain, skin blanching (whitening), or blue discolouration. Immediate intervention is required.
• Infection: A risk with any procedure involving skin penetration.
If you experience severe or prolonged pain, discolouration, or symptoms that worsen after 48 hours, contact us immediately.
POST-TREATMENT AFTERCARE
Protect your investment and optimise your results by diligently following these aftercare instructions:
• Ice the Area: Gently apply a clean, cool compress (not ice directly) for 10-15 minutes every hour on the day of treatment to minimise swelling and bruising.
• Avoid Heat: Refrain from saunas, steam rooms, excessive sun exposure, and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours. Heat increases swelling.
• Stay Hydrated & Elevated: Drink plenty of water. Sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first two nights to help reduce swelling.
• Hands Off: Avoid touching, massaging, or placing pressure on the treated area for the first 48 hours to allow the filler to integrate correctly. Avoid kissing.
• Avoid Makeup: Do not apply lipstick or makeup to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
• Gentle Movement: Avoid drinking through a straw for the first 24 hours as this can put unnecessary pressure on the lips.
